We love every single animal we rescue and believe that staying in touch with our adoptive families, contributes to our high success rate.
We solely rely on adopt donations and fundraising. As you can imagine, with mounting vet costs, we are always in need of financial gifts. Our dogs are adopted when they are completely vetted – spay/neutered, up-to-date vaccines and other proper medical care such as dentals.
Hearts4Doxies Rescue is a matchmaking rescue focused solely on small breed dogs. We work tirelessly to perfectly match the best pet to your family based on breed, lifestyle and other factors. We are proud of our dedicated all-volunteer team and foster homes for bringing new life to pets with loving homes to last their lifetime.

Here are a few of the ways that you can help us so that we can continue to save precious pups!
FOSTERING
Be a foster, be a hero!! Hands down, fostering is the most important volunteer opportunity in rescue as it’s the all-important bridge to saving lives. Hearts4Doxies Rescue is a 100% foster-based organization. We rely entirely on our wonderful foster homes to keep our pups safe, loved, to help them rehabilitate, to nurture, and in some cases, help with behavioral issues. Whatever the need, we match our rescue pups with their perfect foster home. So, whether you can be an emergency foster for a day or two, or if you want to help a dog through a special medical situation or to help a senior get healthy again, we can work together to find the perfect pup for you.

TRANSPORTING
Do you have a couple of hours to help a rescue pup? Often we need to move dogs from their surrender homes to their foster homes. We also sometimes have a special need to transport a pup to vet appointments. As a transport volunteer you’ll have the opportunity to directly help the dogs in need. This is an incredibly rewarding volunteer opportunity!
Our transport routes are typically along the I-5 corridor (Salem, OR to Blaine, WA), within Oregon and Washington, and I-90 east and west bound. We are in particular need of volunteer transporters between Bend and Portland, as well as Medford to Eugene.

FUNDRAISING
Hearts4Doxies Rescue is 100% donation funded. We depend on donations to help pay for the often extensive vetting that our owner-surrender and shelter dogs require.
There are lots of ways you can help fundraise! For example:
Do you have items to donate to our auctions?
Are you a crafter?
Do you make dog-related items such as coats and blankets that you could donate?
Do you know of other dog-lovers who have something to donate or a service to offer?
